1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the MiDuck Android app (package com.instar.miduck) and its live wallpaper. MiDuck is a virtual robot duck companion that runs on your device. It does not connect to or control a physical robot.
2. What is stored on your device
To remember your companion and preferences, we store its nickname, adoption time, bond points, interaction and discovery records, mini-game results, scene and wallpaper settings, haptic preferences, and the version and time of your agreement in private app storage. This information is processed on your device and is not uploaded to our servers.
3. How this information is used
The nickname identifies your companion. Interaction and game records support progression, prevent duplicate rewards, and record discoveries. Settings restore your companion space and wallpaper. The agreement version and time remember your choice. The wallpaper processes touch, visibility, and screen state locally to respond to interactions and pause or resume playback. These events are not sent to external services.
4. Permissions and data sharing
The app declares only the vibration permission for optional in-app haptic feedback. Android grants this normal permission at installation; it does not require a runtime permission dialog. To set the live wallpaper, the app opens the Android system preview for your confirmation. Cancelling the preview does not change your wallpaper. The app does not request contacts, location, photos, camera, microphone, advertising ID, or Internet permissions. It has no accounts, ads, analytics, or cloud synchronization, and does not provide, sell, or upload your companion data to third parties. Android system services are subject to their providers' policies.
5. Retention and deletion
Local progress remains until you delete it. In Settings, choosing to start the companionship again clears progress such as the nickname, bond points, and interaction records, while keeping the agreement record. Clearing app storage in Android settings or uninstalling the app deletes all records in its private storage, including your agreement record. App backup is disabled, and there is no cloud recovery.
6. Your choices
You can change the nickname, scene, and display preferences, turn off wallpaper touch responses or haptic feedback, switch system wallpapers, or stop using the app. Both policies remain available in Settings. If you do not accept them, you can exit using the system Back action on the initial agreement notice.
7. Minors and policy updates
Minors should read this policy with a parent or guardian. If local data practices or the terms materially change, a later app version will explain the changes and ask for your agreement again. The app does not silently replace this policy by downloading it in the background.
